What does a school year look like in  a school that has a year-round schedule?

Canterbury's year is divided into three semesters.

Students are given breaks throughout the year. At least two weeks in the summer, one week for Thanksgiving, two or three weeks for Christmas, and two weeks in the spring.

Students are also given all federal holidays.

8:30 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

1st Period- 8:30 A.M.- 9:25 A.M.

Break- 9:25 A.M.- 9:35 A.M.

2nd Period 9:35 A.M.- 10:30A.M.

Break- 10:30A.M.- 10:40 A.M.

3rd Period 10:40A.M.- 11:30 A.M.

Break- 11:30 A.M.- 12:00P.M. Lunch

4th Period- 12:00 P.m.- 12:55 P.M.

5th Period- 1:00P.M.- 2:00 P.M.


What does Canterbury do about lunch?

Students are given a thirty minute lunch break.

Students may “brown bag” lunch. The school also provides two microwaves so students may heat their lunch.

The school store sells snacks, sodas, breakfast and lunch items to students. Students are allowed to have snacks in the classroom (teacher’s discretion).
